My 2D project is driving me mad. I tried as hard as I could to get the two picture to look alike but finally just gave up. They look even less alike now than I thought they did. I don't think the fumes from the rubber cement are helping. Puppies. Potatoes. Pie.

High School Flashbacks - 12/26/09

Tonight I hung out with friends from high school. I ate lots of peppermint bark. The basement is still the same. Witness exhibit A:


I wrote this while we were studying for European History in 12th grade. I actually ended up writing that essay after giving up on a test. The teacher commented back with points I had missed.

Shopping at the mall today for my ten-year old cousin made me feel old. Kids are weird. Those glasses are all fake. Some girl in Hot Topic felt she deserved a Tokyo Hotel shirt because her sister is getting a nice cell phone and she's only getting the one that come free with the plan. Also, Santa shops at Sears.

30-modular models Complete - 12/11/09

^ This is the model that I was working on earlier. I like the shape and the thinness and sharpness of the shadows.



^This model it basically the same design, except using square papers. I like the effect of white on white and how the shadows interact with the model.

I want to continue to work with making these models and eventually shoot the really nice ones white on white in the studio. These models were not my design, but I have have had some suggestions on things I should try, so I'm going to play with alterations and getting some unique shapes.

The First Real Snow of the Season - 12/10/09

I did some tests for my portrait project. I cropped them all to 4x5 to reflect how they will be proportioned in the final result. I like the ones that show full body and a little more environment, especially the last two. I also like having a variety of back, front, and profile. I'm still trying to think of an exact method for interacting with people as necessary from the roof while they're on the ground. I'm thinking texting. I'd appreciate any feedback.
